Kim Hye-yoon cast in crime thriller

Actor Kim Hye-yoon has been cast in a crime thriller tentatively titled “Midnight,” according to her agency Sidus HQ Entertainment on Tuesday.

The actor will play a character named So-jung who is a freshman in college living perfectly a normal life and sometimes getting into squabbles with her older brother, Jong-tak (to be played by actor Wi Ha-jun).

The film’s production company is Peppermint & Company, which produced the action thriller film “The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion.” The plot of the film has not yet been revealed to the public.

Kim will begin shooting this month and the film is scheduled to premiere sometime next year.

Kim shot to stardom playing the ambitious high school student Ye-seo in the popular JTBC drama series “SKY Castle” earlier this year. She has also been cast to play a lead role in an upcoming romance drama series tentatively titled “July Found by Chance” which begins airing on Sept. 25 on MBC.
