AKMU’s Chanhyuk to release book

Chanhyuk, the older brother in the sibling duo Akdong Musician (AKMU), will publish his first book on Sept. 26, YG Entertainment said Wednesday.

According to the agency, Chanhyuk’s book, “Fish in the Water” comes as part of AKMU’s upcoming third full-length album, “Sailing,” and will be a novel written by the singer-songwriter based on the ideas he had while making the new album.

“The book will express the singer’s thoughts on life and music as Lee Chan-hyuk, and will help fans better understand the third album,” the agency said.

AKMU recently announced their comeback for the first time in two years and two months, after their last album “Summer Episode” in July 2017. “Summer Episode” was the last thing Chanhyuk did before joining the Marine Corps for his mandatory military service.

AKMU debuted through SBS audition program “K-Pop Star 2” in 2014, and is currently K-pop’s only singing sibling duo.

“Fish in the Water” will begin preorders on Sept. 17 through various online bookstores, while the third album “Sailing” will drop on Sept. 25.
