GS Caltex stations to offer range of EV taxi services

Oct 24,2019
GS Caltex said Wednesday that it has signed an initial agreement with KST Mobility and Soft Berry to provide some of its electric vehicle (EV) charging stations as taxi charging and operating stations.

The Korean oil refiner will be providing some of its EV charging stations as places for KST Mobility’s Macaron taxis to charge, conduct maintenance, wash and exchange drivers.

Soft Berry, a mobile platform provider for EVs, will launch a QR code service for Macaron taxi drivers to charge at the stations.

GS Caltex plans to start the service at three gas stations within Seoul this year. The oil refiner currently operates 27 EV chargers at 23 gas stations.
