Asiana jet diverts to Manila as fuel-line trouble found

Nov 11,2019
An Asiana Airlines plane that left Incheon International Airport Saturday bound for Singapore landed in Manila due to engine troubles.

The plane took off from Incheon at around 4:20 p.m. but diverted to Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport after some 3 hours and 50 minutes of flying as a problem in the engine was observed.

The A350 plane, made by Airbus, was carrying about 310 passengers. The air carrier said no one was injured.

According to the Korean airline, a problem in the fuel supply system in one of the two engines of the plane caused concern.

An alternative flight for the passengers in Manila left from Incheon Sunday morning. The plane arrived in Singapore at 5 p.m. Sunday, in Korean time.

Total delay time was around 18 hours, according to an Asiana Airlines staff.
