‘K-Beauty’ fest held in Vancouver
Korean beauty festival “K-Beauty Trip to Korea” successfully wrapped this weekend in Vancouver, Canada, the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) announced Monday.This event, co-hosted by the KTO and the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (Kotra), welcomed around 2,700 visitors who browsed and purchased Korean beauty products at a discount rate at the JW Marriott Parq Vancouver this Saturday. Over 50 Korean brands including brands by cosmetics giants Amorepacific and LG Household & Health Care set up booths.
Makeup artist and YouTuber Sunnydahye was also invited to offer Korean-style makeup tips and staged a live makeup demonstration.
“The popularity of Korean cosmetics and makeup styles has been on the rise as interest in Korean culture grows,” said Park Hyung-kwan, director of KTO’s Toronto office in Canada. “We plan on continuing the development and promotion of relevant products in response.”
