SM to work with Unicef on project

The first song off of SM Entertainment’s upcoming “Station X” project will be for children all over the world, the agency said on Monday.

“SM Entertainment will release its song ‘This is Your Day’ on Wednesday, opening up the new project, ‘Station X 4 LOVEs for Winter,’” the agency said.

According to the agency, the song is a collaboration between SM Entertainment and Unicef for the 30th World Children’s Day, which falls on Nov. 20 annually.

A pop ballad with piano chords, “This is Your Day” will feature singers BoA, J-Min, Choi Si-won of Super Junior, Sunny of Girls’ Generation, Taemin of SHINee, Suho of Exo, Wendy of Red Velvet and Doyoung of NCT.

“The idea came from Choi Si-won, who was named the first Korean East Asia-Pacific honorary ambassador for Unicef,” the agency said in a statement.

Three more songs will come from the project in the coming days. The songs’ titles are “White Winter,” “Coming Home” and “Forever.”

Profits from the collaboration will go to “SMile for U,” a children’s music education program jointly run by SM Entertainment and Unicef.
