Netflix first is hologram love story

The first Korean drama series to be produced originally by Netflix, “My Holo Love,” will be released on Netflix on Feb. 7, 2020. The story revolves around a woman who falls in love with a hologram, whose features are a copy of an actual person in the woman’s life.

“‘My Holo Love’ follows the unique story of three not-so-perfect but extraordinary characters,” Netflix said in its statement Sunday. “So-yeon, played by Ko Sung-hee (Suits, While You Were Sleeping), has distanced herself from the rest of the world due to her face blindness disorder.

“Yoon Hyun-min (Beautiful Mind, My Daughter Geum Sa-wol) plays both Holo and Nan-do who look exactly the same but are polar opposites,” Netflix said. “Holo is a perfect AI assistant who realizes his limits as an artificial intelligence. Nan-do is Holo’s developer who begins to have feelings for So-yeon, while watching her and Holo interact.”

It will be the first time Yoon acts for two roles in one series.
