Millennium Hilton Seoul

Saturdays and Sundays: Millennium Hilton Seoul’s Cilantro Deli, located in the main lobby of the hotel, hosts an afternoon tea that is perfect for a winter escape. The event is expected to be a huge draw for women in their 20s and 30s, because the setting is very Instagram-friendly. The exquisitely crafted sandwiches and desserts will delight the eyes as much as the palate. Almost too adorable to eat, this ‘Winter Wonderland Afternoon Tea’ set is available during weekend afternoons from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The tea set will include some miniature dessert items (chocolate dip or mousse, cupcake, eclair and choux, macaron, and more) in the shape of a snowman, a Christmas tree, a pair of mitten, a gingerbread man and many more.

You’ll love sharing photos of everything on social media - from the miniatures scones, open-faced sandwiches and other delectable finger foods. The tea set comes with your choice of coffee or tea.

The meal costs 49,000 won per person and a minimum of two people are required to attend. Tax and service charge is already included.

Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas

Through Dec. 31: Grand Deli, located on the 1st floor of Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas, announced its plan to offer holiday cakes to boost the festive mood of Christmas and year-end parties for a limited time. The holiday cakes presented by the hotel’s head patissier Eric P. Kalabo from New York, who has been in the post since January, and the Culinary Team will make Christmas and the year-end season even more cheerful and jovial.

Eric P. Kalabo has three recommendations for this winter: “Tree Cake,” inspired by the image of a Christmas tree on the top of a snow-covered mountain, “Charlotte aux Fraises,” topped with a generous amount of strawberries and fresh cream, and ”Blueberry Breton,” where the red meringue, white meringue and blueberry evoke the image of the sparkling lights of a Christmas tree.

In December, Grand Deli also offers 12 types of holiday cakes, including “Ginger House,” which is a steady seller every winter, “Chestnut Cake,” a Mont Blanc-style cake topped with chestnut cream, and “Black Forest Cake,” which has refreshing fresh cherries on top of soft Chantilly cream and chocolate.

Those who are not looking for large cakes can grab a classic log-shaped cake and cute cupcake sets. The log-shaped cakes are available in three flavors: “Blanc Rouge Cake,” which combines raspberry confit with chocolate mousse, French-style mousse cake “Rumba Log Cake, and “Green Tea Terrine and Yuzu Cream Choux” filled with yuzu cream. The cupcake sets are decorated with a snowman, bear and Christmas wreath and come in three flavors, which are orange, banana and chocolate.

The holiday cakes are available from 63,000 won, the log-shaped cakes from 45,000 won and three types of cupcake sets start at 28,000 won, including tax and service charges. Those who purchase a holiday cake and Champagne together are eligible for a 10 percent discount.
