Korea Grand Sale makes visits even more special

Right now, eight local airlines including Korean Air, Asiana Airlines, Jeju Air, Jin Air, Eastar Jet, T’way Air, Air Busan and Air Seoul are offering discounts of up to 95 percent on about 100 routes from cities overseas to Korea, especially to airports outside of the Seoul metropolitan area to encourage visits to other cities in Korea.
To help visitors easily move from one city to another, there are also many travel packages available that include tickets for KTX express trains and entrance tickets to major tourist spots.
Discounts on trains connecting the Incheon International Airport to Seoul Station in central Seoul are available as well as for the K-Travel Bus, an overnight bus tour package. About 300 hotels across the country are participating in the sale and offering up to 80 percent discounts on their rooms.
The Grand Sale is also offering discounts on cultural programs throughout the country that tourists can enjoy during their stay.
Visitors can see their favorite K-pop groups performing right in front of them by going to a filming of a popular music show like “M Countdown” and even get a chance to learn dance moves from the world-famous choreographers at 1MILLION Dance Studio in southern Seoul’s Gangnam District, the capital of K-pop.
Many visitors splurge on Korean beauty brands when they visit the country, and through the Grand Sale, they’ll be able to save more than ever. Sulwhasoo, one of the most popular Korean cosmetics brands overseas, is offering a special class on proper skin care at its flagship store in Sinsa-dong, southern Seoul, as well as giving discounts on products when they visit with coupons issued from the Korea Grand Sale.
Tourists will also be able to take advantage of lower prices at nice restaurants during their stay. As part of the Korea Grand Tasting event, nearly 65 restaurants located inside hotels are offering special dishes as well as discounts as high as 25 percent for those who want to make the most of their hotel stay.
For those looking to try out the trendy cafe scene across the country, the Korea Grand Sale is also introducing so-called “it cafes” for those who want to capture picture-perfect moments to share on social media.
Tourist attractions where visitors can learn more about traditional Korean culture or enjoy winter sports in mountainous Gangwon are also available with steep discounts.
Galleries, museums, duty-free stores and even convenience stores - where visitors can fill up their transportation cards and grab snacks only available at 24-hour shops - also taking part in the annual sale.
There will be a welcome center set up in areas commonly visited by travelers, such as Incheon International Airport and Gimpo International Airport, as well as the Dongdaemun neighborhood, to assist those looking for help.
