K-pop stars rang in the new year and wished their fans a happy 2020 on social media on Wednesday.

“I hope that all your wishes will come true in 2020,” said Suga of BTS in a video message the group posted on their YouTube account Wednesday. “And don’t worry if you don’t reach all of your goals. Remember, anyone can make a mistake - what’s important is how you respond to it.”

“All of my 2010s were about BTS,” said RM, leader of the boy band. “From the very time that I joined the group in my first year in high school to 2019, when I turned 26. It’s kind of a weird feeling now that I say it, I’m not entirely sure what I feel as I welcome 2020.

“But one thing is for sure - I am one lucky guy to have begun my 2010s with BTS and to end it with BTS.”

BTS was in New York on New Year’s Eve to perform at Times Square.

Pledis Entertainment, the home of girl groups After School and Orange Caramel, boy bands Nu’est, Nu’est W and Seventeen and singer-songwriter and producer Bumzu, posted a hand-written New Year’s greeting from the artists on Twitter.

“Guess what, I’m turning 30 in 2020,” Bumzu wrote. “I hope that you’ll be welcoming a very happy new year.”

“Thank you for being with us throughout 2019,” wrote Jeonghan of Seventeen. “Let’s welcome the New Year together - it will be a good one if all of you are with us!”

Boy band SuperM of SM Entertainment also posted a video message to their fans.

“The year is almost over, I hope you end things on a positive note,” said Taemin. “I hope that you will be healthy in the New Year and that it will be filled with only happy moments. And please look forward to SuperM’s activities to come in the New Year. Hope to see you more often this year.”

The group formed in 2019 with artists who have been working with SM Entertainment for a while, including Taemin from the boy band SHINee and Baekhyun and Kai from Exo.

Boy band Monsta X shared their New Year’s greetings on V Live, a live video streaming app.
