Park Yeong-gyu marries fourth wife

Actor Park Yeong-gyu said “I do,” in a private, family-centered wedding on Christmas Day. It was his fourth wedding.

“He wanted to have a quiet and small wedding, so it was only around 30 people,” an acquaintance told The Fact, an independent media outlet, on Thursday. “He had the best Christmas Day in his life.”

The actor, 67, married a woman who is not a TV personality, according to reports.

Park, who studied acting at the Seoul Institute of the Arts in Ansan, Gyeonggi, married a colleague from the school in 1983. They divorced in 1996.

The following year, Park got married to a fashion designer, but they also parted ways in 2001. In 2004, Park’s son from his first marriage died in a car accident in the United States. Park then moved to Canada and put his career on hold for six years.

It was during that time he is said to have met his third wife, Kim Su-ryun. Park’s divorce with Kim was not known until the news of his fourth wedding.

Park is best known for his role as an exuberant father on “Soonpoong Clinic,” a popular show that aired on SBS from 1998 to 2000.
