KMRB makes apology for blacklist

Feb 14,2020
The Korea Media Rating Board (KMRB) revealed a new corporate identity and also made an apology regarding the blacklist scandal in the cultural community on Thursday.

The new identity includes the association’s initials using green and blue, to create a sense of trust and credibility.

“[Through the new branding] we will actively promote the quickly-changing media environment and establish a clearer rating system that can offer credibility to our customers,” the KMRB said in a statement.

The KMRB will be renovating their website as well.

“We will walk a new path of innovation and change through the new vision,” said Lee Mi-yeon, the KMRB chair. “We also regret damaging our independence and freedom [due to the blacklist] and apologize to all of those who suffered but did not receive a proper apology.”
