The GV80 is now available with a gasoline engine.

Two such models are being offered by Genesis, one with a 2.5-liter turbo engine and the other a 3.5-liter turbo engine. They both come with an eight-speed automatic transmission, according to a statement from the Hyundai Motor luxury brand.

These gasoline-powered options are going to be available in the United States starting this summer.

The 2.5-liter engine model is priced at 60.37 million won ($50,100) and rated at 304 horsepower and 43 kilogram-meters (311 pound-feet) in torque, while the 3.5-liter option goes for 65.87 million won and is rated at 380 horsepower and 54.0 kilogram-meters for torque.

Genesis said the gasoline-powered GV80s come with dual fuel injection and a water-cooled intercooler, which helps the car travel father and be more responsive.

In January, Genesis introduced a diesel-powered GV80 model with a 3.0-liter engine, announcing its aim to sell 24,000 units by the end of the year. The brand received more than 20,000 orders for the GV80 just days after the release.

The problem comes down to whether Genesis will be able to manufacture enough GV80s to meet demand. Due to the coronavirus outbreak causing disruptions in the auto parts supply chain, Hyundai Motor had to close its factories in Korea for a number of days last month.

Hyundai Motor is capable of assembling up to 4,000 GV80s per month at its factory in Ulsan, and it already has a long list of orders to fill. When the GV80 is available in the U.S. market, delivery delays could become more severe.
