[Sponsored Report] Coupang’s innovative delivery system gains international recognition
Fast company dubbed Coupang “Korea’s Amazon” and noted that it is doing what even Amazon cannot do. They found Coupang’s delivery service, which allows consumers who place orders before midnight to receive their products the next morning, very impressive. Another factor that gained recognition was Coupang’s shipping methods, which don’t use excessive packaging.
From ice cream to IPads, Coupang has delivered a variety of products within a few hours through their groundbreaking delivery system which is available 24/7.
To make this possible, Coupang established logistic infrastructure which is about the size of 193 football fields throughout the country and also employed the help of artificial intelligence. They managed to predict the consumer’s needs and provide accurate delivery services. To create a waste-free eco-friendly environment, Coupang reduced the bulk of packaging by more than 60 percent compared to 2018 and simultaneously focused on preventing damage to orders. A myriad number of boxes were able to be delivered without excessive packaging and the delivery distance of the trucks also halved.
“Our mission is to improve the consumer’s lives 100 times better than before and we will continuously provide fast and innovative delivery system until our customers eventually say ‘How could I live without Coupang?’.” said the Bom Kim, Coupang CEO.
