Copyright association to fight online piracy

The Korea Music Copyright Association has filed a criminal report accusing three online platforms in Korea for illegally distributing movies and music in January, the association revealed in a statement on Monday.

“The provider of the server knew the three platforms were engaging in illegal distribution of the contents and breaching copyright laws,” the association said in its statement. “We couldn’t stand by this behavior anymore.”

The association said it will continue to find out and report other platforms providing contents illegally.
