Bureaucrats Like Free Tickets

Threatre troupes are in a dilemma over high-ranking government officials who are asking for free tickets.
'The Last Empress', on stage at the Seoul Arts Center, saw 5% of all tickets going to government officials, without charge. Yet, some officials are asking for more. Since the commencement of the performance, there have been more than 50 calls, and sometimes, written requests, asking for free tickets.
Tickets provided gratis is a prevailing convention in art shows and performances. Invitation tickets have sometimes been issued in great numbers in a bid to fill empty theatres.
However, art is an intellectual product, like any industrial product that is bought and sold. Asking for free tickets is tantamount to begging for goods in a shop.
Therefore, bureacrats should be aware of their position in society and buy their tickets, with their own money, for the sake of the art community.
