Specialized Game Channel on Cable TV

Ongamenet, a specialized cable channel for video games, will be launched on July 24 - the first of its kind in the world - developed by Orion, Korea Telecom Hitel, and Locus.

The three aim to broadcast the channel twelve hours a day from 2 p.m. to 2 a.m. The broadcast introduces a new concept in video games - offering viewers the pleasure of playing games or of simply watching, in line with Ongamenet's catch phrase, "Playing with TV."

One program will allow viewers the chance to participate in a game that is accompanied by a color commentator.

Test broadcasting will begin from July 1, before the official launch of the channel.
