1st Korea-Japan Film "Ring" to be Made

Japanese writer Koji Suzuki's bestselling mystery thriller 'Ring' will be the first subject of a Korea-Japan jointly produced movie. It will be the first co-production since Korean president Kim Dae Jung declared the opening of the domestic market to Japanese cultural products during his state visit to Japan.
Japan's Omega Project and Korea's AFDF Korea will each invest 700,000 dollars.
A Japanese version of the book 'Ring' already drew an audience of 5 million early this year.
The story is about a female reporter's experience in investigating victims who died after watching horror films.
Hanmack Film will take charge of the production and Kim Dong Bin will direct.
