4th Int"l Asian Music Conference to Be Held

The Asian Music Research Institute of Seoul National University (chief manager, Hwang Jun-yon) is to hold the Fourth International Asian Music Conference on the theme of 'Current Research on Asian Music' at the university museum.
The upcoming event will take place over 2 days from October 7, covering 4 areas of Asian music research - 'Retrospection', 'Issues', 'New Perspectives and Methodology' and 'Prospects'.
Foreign scholars from the U.S., Japan and Hong Kong are expected to contribute.
From Korea, Kim Se-joong, Chang Hwi-ju and Song ji-won will discuss ceremonial court music and Youngsan music during the reign of King Sejong and the music achievements of King Chongjo of the Chosun Dynasty.
