Ancient Israeli Relics Visit Korea

More than 400 ancient Israeli relics will be exhibited from December 29 to March 28 1999 at the Seoul Art Center.
This exhibition is composed of two parts, titled 'David's City and the World of the Bible'.
'David's City', organized by the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the Israeli Bureau of Cultural Properties, is on a world exhibition tour begun several years ago in North America followed by Europe and Africa.
The exhibition shows cultural artifacts which were discovered in Jerusalem and other Middle Eastern relics dating from 3000 B.C. to 70 A.D. when Jerusalem was destroyed by the Roman Empire.
'The World of the Bible' is the first exhibition ever held in East Asia to show infra-red photographs of a scrolled-Bible discoverd near the Dead Sea in 1947 and recognized as the oldest extant written Bible.
This exhibition will travel to Kwangju City Museum from April 15 to June 30, 1999.
