Boom of Notebook Computers

As Internet notebook computers grow more and more popular, major PC companies like Samsung Electronics are releasing newer and cheaper models in an attempt to hold on to their share of the market.

Samsung Electronics released 2 new models of the Sens 640 on April 25. The new models are aimed at the inexpensive laptop PC market. They are equipped with either Celeron or Pentium Ⅲ processors and each has similar features to other Internet notebooks. The prices are $1536 (Celeron) and $2263(Pentium Ⅲ). They are more expensive than other Internet notebooks by $272-$454.

Commaul announced that they will sell their e-Motion notebook, supplied by Sambo Computer, on an original equipment manufacturing basis at the same price as their other Internet notebooks from April 24.
