Calls For Insurance Covering Legal Expenses
One consumer group is getting people's attention by insisting that an insurance system designed to cover legal expenses is needed.The Korea Consumer Protection Board (KCPB) recently revealed that it has become extremely difficult to protect consumers from damage resulting from high lawyer's fees, so an insurance system covering legal expences should be established in order to minimize this damage.
Because it is very difficult for consumers to take their legal complaints to court because of legal expenses, the KCPB is suggesting that a legal expense insurance system like those seen in foreign countries should be adopted in Korea.
