Chongdo Bullfight Festival Takes Place

Chongdo Bullfight Festival will take place in Chongdo-Kun, Kyongsangbukdo for five days starting March 15.
Various events such as Korea-Japan Bulls Championship and American Style Bull Riding Rodeo will be relayed from this location through the Internet.
The bullfights are between two animals with no time regulation, and the match continues until one of the two bulls turns his head to escape the fight. The bullfights will be held in three groups, A group(over 730Kg), B group(over 640Kg),and C group(over 570Kg) is tournament style.
In this Bullfight Festival, a goodwill match named Korea-Japan Bulls Championship will be held with 6 bulls from each country fight two or three times a day.
In addtion, an American Style Bull Riding Rodeo will be held on March 18 and 19, with participants from the Rodeo Clubs of American soldiers in Korea.
Internet TV(www.coreatv.com) will broadcast the Korea-Japan Bulls Championship and American Style Bull Riding Rodeo at 11:30 to 14:00 each day.
Korean National Railroad(02-392-7788) will operate a Bullfight Sightseeing Express during the festival.
Tourist packages including sightseeing of the Bullfight Festival, Bugok Hot Spring, Pyochung Temple, and the Bugokhawaii show will be sold for about $78 (90,400 won) for weekdays and $88 (101,600 won) for the weekend including the train fare.
