Chung Myung-hoon to go as music director to France

Conductor Chung Myung-hoon has been decided as Radio France Philharmonic Orchestra's new music director, according to the Yonhap News Agency.
Chung signed a contract on February 24 that has him taking over the music director's job starting in May until the end of the 2003 season. Chung had been the music director for the Opera Bastille in Paris.
The Radio France Philharmonic was founded in 1976 and plays over 100 programs throughout the year. Following the pioneer tradition in the orchestra, they play many 20th century works.
