Cyber Library of Korean Literature and Language

A library of Korean traditional literature and language now exists in cyberspace, created by a group of adventurous literature and linguistics professors. The scholars, scattered throughout Korea, have established an Internet company called 'Textkorea.' Their URL is www.textkorea.com.

Textkorea consists of 30 researchers who teach classical & modern literature at major universities, including Seoul National University.

They aspire to present a sophisticated, comprehensive collection of Korean literature and language to Internet users. Works will fall into four different categories: Korean modern literature, classical literature, Korean art performance, and language counseling.

It is evidently more than just a basic, shallow information site; textkorea.com is a very practical page from which users can find virtually whatever information they want about the Korean novelists or poets included. Bios and backgrounds of the artists are available as well as a 'Poet Album,' containing pictures of all the included poets, even those who have passed away.
