Dance Sport Championships on July 15

The Korean society of dance instructors will host the Dance Sport Championships in the Crystal Ballroom of the Lotte Hotel on July 15. Proceeds from the event will go to young orphans and to children who financially support their families.

A panel of dance professionals will judge the 10 rounds of competition, divided into modern dance and latin dance. Participants will display a variety of forms, including the quick step, the tango, and the samba, with the winner going on to compete at international-level championships.

The International Olympic Committee has designated dance sport as a competitive event at the Bangkok Asian Olympic Games.

The participation fee is 50,000 Korean won ($46) for professionals and 40,000 won for amateurs. Lunch will be provided.
