Dragon-Themed Products Booming

The year 2000 in the Chinese zodiac calendar is the year of the dragon - and sales of products with dragon themes are booming.
Watchmakers such as Casio are selling watches with dragon motifs at 50,000 - 60,000 won, while Ssamzi recently placed dragon-themed bags and shoes on the market.
Underwear companies, including James Dean, have even launched men's underwear ranges featuring dragon designs.
And a source at Lotte Department Store said, 'Dragon toys are popular with children these days.'
Hyundai Department Store has developed three kinds of dragon models, named 'Mir' 'Miri' and 'Mira'. These dragons will be displayed at the department from January 16, and the first 200 customers born in the year of the dragon spending at least 200,000 won for twn days from January 2 will receive a free dragon toy.
Samsung Plaza in Pundang will present dragon-shaped cookies and keyrings to the first 2,000 customers on January 2.
