EXOM 2000 to Be Held in September

Kyung Hee University and Joongang Ilbo (Joongang Daily) are jointly hosting 'The 2nd International Exhibition on Oriental Medicine' (EXOM 2000) from September 1 to 5 in the COEX building in Seoul. The exhibition has the theme of scientifically developing oriental medicine, spreading information, and inspiring the world.

EXOM 2000 will have lectures on Oriental Medicine and a traditional Korean mask dance rendition of 'Hoe-chun,' a hit Korean TV series about oriental medicine.

Various special events will take place in the expostion, including the mask dance with its traditional Korean music. Chun Kwang-yol, Hwang Soo-jung, and other renowned cast members of 'Hoe-chun' are expected to make an appearance to give out autographs.

Dozens of oriental medicine health centers in Korea and about 180 businesses related to oriental medicine are expected to participate and display their ingredients and raw materials.

The exposition will be joined by over 50 business who deal in oriental medicines from other northeast Asian countries, such as China, Japan, and Taiwan.

Over 30 experts on oriental medicine will give lectures and counseling.

Shin Hyun-dae of KyungHee University Hospital said, "This expostion will provide an opportunity to display the wonderful qualities of oriental medicine, which is presently gaining a lot of attenation as an alternative medicine, and create a forum for the exchange of information."
