Film "Lies" Is Prosecuted
The umbrella civic group, Civil Organizations Against Lewd and Violent Media brought a action against Chang Sun-woo, director of the film 'Lies', production company ShinCine Communications, and the owners of hundreds movie theaters at the Seoul District Prosecutor's Office on January 6, charging them with distributing lascivious products.'Although the Korean Film Rating Board approved it for viewers over 18, this film shows naked and abnormal scenes of sensuality, and 70 percent of it is taken up with abnormal love affairs which might cause serious distortion of the concept of sex for the young generation,' it stated.
