Graduate School Classes to Be Offered at Military Base

The K-2 Air Force and Catholic University of Taegu-Hyosung, recently agreed to start a graduate school business course on the air base beginning in the fall sememster.

The course, which will be held two times a week from six to ten in the afternoon, will allow air force recruits to receive a masters degree from the Catholic University of Taegu.

This is only the second time that a graduate school has held classes at an air force base. Currently, air force headquarters holds courses in conjuction with Mokwon University.

About 30 soldiers and airmen have already been accepted and have registered for the new course.

According to the agreement between the Air Force and Catholic University of Taegu-Hyosung military personnel taking the course will receive a fifty percent discount off the normal tuition.

Kim Dong-kyun (35yrs), a squadron leader and head of the personnel department, lobbied for the idea of having graduate courses on base and applied for the courses himself, said that, "Everyone is happy with this deal because we can now receive an education, which in the past was very hard to get because of the location of the base and because of our work."
