Korean Catholic Martyr To Be Remembered In China

Kim Dae Kun, the first Korean Catholic priest, will be commemorated in Jilin Province, China.
According to Catholic sources in Seoul on Friday,
a 9.7km road named 'Kim Dae Kun' was constructed recently in the north-eastern territory of China.
The Korean church donated one million dollars towards the construction of the road.
Kim was ordained in December 1844 in Jilin, China and years later martyred in Korea.
The Korean Catholic Church plans to build a memorial hall for the martyr in Jilin in the near future, sources added.
