Korean, Chinese and Japanese University Students Meet and Greet

A project for Korean, Chinese and Japanese university students to experience each other's cultures on a leisure boat cruise is being planned.
Seventy students from each country will tour the three countries for five days each and it is hoped they will strengthen solidarity between the countries.
The project is named the 'New Generation Experience for Koreans, Chinese, and Japanese in the 21st Century.'
It will be sponsored by the Korea Braodcasting System (KBS), CCTV of China, and NHK of Japan, the major broadcasting centers in the three countries.
KBS will hold the first event next July. The event will take place three times before 2002.
The selected students will start off in China, then tour Korea, and end the trip in Japan. During the trip, debates will be held to rid the students of misconceptions about each other's cultures.
The three broadcasting organizations will produce a documentary of the students' experience and, in a seperate program, air the discussions that were held on the ship.
