"Korean Nights" from 1998"s Avignon Festival
On September 14, a performance entitled 'Korean Nights' will be performed at the National Theater. This performance was originally given on July 13 at 1998's Avignon Festival in France.At that time, the French news media including Le Monde appraised this performance as being ''the most attractive,' and 'showing the essence of traditional art.' At the performance, 'Sujechon' (Korean traditional symphony), 'Sungmoo' (Korean monk dance), and 'Samulnori' (Korean percussion ensemble) will be performed.
