Korean Wild Flower Show to Open in Seoul Land
The Korean Federation for Enviromental Movements and the Korean Wild Flower Association will open the 10th annual Korean Wild Flower Show in front of the fountain at Seoul Land in Kwachon, Kyonggi Province at 11 a.m. on May 4.The exhibition will be housed in the 3,300 square meter special hall in Seoul Land until May 14. About 500 flower displays and 250 Korean wild flower photographs and pictures will be on display.
Photographs of the work of landscape architects who use flowers will also be on display. Photos of pastoral houses, gardens, apartment verandas, and offices will be shown. Books and pamphlets about Korean wild flowers will be sold in the gift shop.
There will also be sections on forestry, the restoration of burned mountain areas in Kangwon Province, and Konkuk University 'gardening therapy.'
A Korean wild flowers' name identification contest will be held for elementary school students on May 5.
Korean flower seeds, including iris and starwort seeds, will be distributed to exhibition visitors.
