Kyobo 'Book Masters' Providing Great Customer Service

'Book masters' are offering a new kind of customer service, providing book information and recommendations in Kyobo Book Store. The store started the book master system on March 2, and is the first store in Korea to offer the service.
Nine employees working as book masters have more than ten years of experience in the book store. Their duties include recommending good books, planning culture events, and compiling book information for its customers.
Kyobo's book masters have committed the titles of 20,000 to 30,000 books to memory, and can comfortably answer any customer's questions. The book masters have a number of duties to perform including carefully reading book reviews in newspapers and magazines, responding to customer complaints, and meeting book authors and editors from various publishing companies.
Kim Hyun-soon, a computer-based book master,said that the she feels a little bit pressured because this job is very meaningful both to the company and to the customers. She added that she would be the best book master she could.
