Maritime Festival to be held in AugustThe Fourth Maritime Festival will be held at six major beaches around the Pusan area from August 1st to 5th.
It will be held on the Haewundae, Kwanganri, Dadaepo, Songjong, Ilkwang and Songdo beaches.
The Pusan metropolitan government announced Wednesday that the slogan for the beach festival is 'Asian harmony in the new millennium', and that there will be 24 events attracting over 5,000 people during the period.
The opening ceremony will be held at Kwanganri and will include Japanese and Chinese artists performing in an 'Asian rock festival'.
Notably, Japanese rock bands will perform their hit songs in Japanese and English for the first time since 1945, when Korea was liberated by Japanese colonization.
Moreover, there will be an additional dance party, concert and play as well.
