Mozart Photo Exhibition

Photographs of maestro Wolfgan Amadeus Mozart's relics will be on display in Seoul at the end of May. A Vienna-based cultural friendship organization between Korea and Austria will hold a photo exhibition at the Seoul Arts Center to promote the launching of a museum for antique musical instruments in Seoul.

There will be some 150 photos of Mozart's hand written letters along with portraits, and a piano on display. Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde (Friends of Music) will sponsor the exhibition. The organization was founded in 1812 at the initiative group of the Philharmonic Society. Currently, the group organizes concerts and manages a musical academy and a library.

An antique musical instrument museum will be established by Kumho Cultural Foundation, and will include displays of folk instruments from all over the world. For more information, call 02-514-7165.
