National Taxes to be Payable by Credit Card
All national taxes, including property and income taxes, will be payable by credit card as early as September of this year. The government also plans to make taxes payable through the Internet, phone and automatic teller machines(ATM).The National Tax Service (NTS) will offer the new service on a pilot basis at tax offices beginning in July and will expand the service nationwide in September.
In order to get ready for the new sevice, the NTS will set up a number of National Tax Relay Centers between banks and credit card companies by June.
