Over 63 Percent of Women Averse to Bald Men

"How do most women react when they meet a bald man on a blind date?"

Over 63 percent of women polled said that there was little chance for a second date, while 18 percent said that they would not be able to conceal their feeling of disappointment. About 18 percent of women thought that a man's baldness would not affect the date.

A total of 836 unmarried women of an average age of 24 were asked the question in a survey conducted by MSD Korea, a company that sells Propecia, a drug for the treatment of hair loss.

To the question: "Do you think a man's appearance is important when selecting a spouse or boyfriend?" over 44 percent of respondents said that it is very important.

When asked: "All things being equal, would you choose a bald man or a man with a full head of hair?" 55 percent chose the latter, while about 40 percent said that they would have to spend some time with the man before deciding.

When the women were shown pictures of men with hair and without, most of those surveyed had a better impression of the men with hair.
