Poll: Children Prefer Pizza
Published: 04 Jan. 2003, 18:58
Naver (www.naver.com), an Internet portal service company, conducted a survey of 8993 elementary school students on May 1-2 asking what they wanted to eat on Children's Day. The most popular answer was pizza with 2563 votes or 28.8 percent.
Spaghetti came in second with 15.2 percent, followed by chicken with 14.4 percent, hamburger with 11.6 percent and cake with 9.1 percent.
The result shows that Western tastes predominate with the younger generation. As an example, only 3 percent of the children chose traditional Korean foods such as Jajangmyon or Bulgogi.
