Postwar Abstract Art of Korean and the West Titled Passion and Expression

JoongAng Ilbo and Samsung Art Gallery will hold the new millennium exhibition titled "Postwar Abstract Art of Korea and the West: Passion and Expression" in the Hoam Gallery through Mar.17. This exhibition will offer a good opportunity to view famous works, including abstract expressionism of the U.S.
Through the exhibition, lovers of art will be able to see the works of famous abstract artists including Jackson Pollock, and also those of Korean comtemporary artists such as Kim Bong-tae.
The exhibition period will run from March 17 to May 14 but will be closed Mondays; it can be viewed 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. except on Thursdays which start at 9:00 a.m. The exhibition is located at the Hoam Gallery, Sunwha-dong, Seoul (City Hall station).
A symposium for the exhibition will be held in the Hoam Art Hall at 2:00 p.m.on March 17.
The entrance fee will range from 2,000 won for elementary and secondary school students to 4,000 won for adults.
Exhibition tours will be held at 11:00 a.m., 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. every day. At 2:00 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays there is a tour for children and ones in English.
