Every October, Pusan City has announced that it will hold a 'ready-to-wear' fashion show with local designers as well as highlights from the best of the French collections at the Pusan Exhibition Convention Center.

The first showing is scheduled to be held at the Paradise Hotel Pusan running from August 25 to September 3. From next year, the fashion shows are to be held at the Convention Center.

Over 70 textile and fashion houses are expected to be represented, including pieces from the French houses of Chanel, Pierre Cardin as well as Nina Ricci's ready-to-wear.

Pusan will create a permanent organization committee charged with promoting the show as an international event similar to the success of the Pusan International Film Festival.
