Protestors Want Screen Quota System Saved

Film industry actors and actresses together with moviegoers, on December 15, demanded the government maintain the current 'screen quota system'. They fear for their survival, otherwise.
The protestors held a press conference at Namsan and sought the government's promise to keep the current system without any changes.
They claimed, 'We have met with the minister of culture and the interim president of the National Congress for New Politics(NCNP) party, and reached a conclusion that the minister is the one to decide the issue.'
'The screen quota system should survive intact and we will keep fighting against any alterations.'
One member of the protestors, Chung Ji Young, said, 'The Ministry of Culture should actively solve the problem rather than shuffling off a duty on to someone else.'
