SBS to Alter Program under Suspicion of Piracy

Seoul Broadcasting System (SBS) has decided to change the name, format and staff of its TV program 'Seo Se-won's Super Station', which has been suspected of plagiarizing a Japanese TV program.
A source in SBS said on August 17, 'We are searching for a new body of staff and presenter for this program as it has been suspected of piracy. The presenter, Seo Se-won, has in fact gone to the U.S. to seek medical treatment anyway.'
The civil broadcaster suspended the 'Wanted, You are under Arrest' section of this program on suspicion of plagiarism and changed some staff members last week.
Meanwhile, the Korean Broadcasting Commission KBC) is likely to make a decision to heavily discipline those responsible for the 'Wanted, You are under Arrest' at the general meeting to be held on August 25, as KBC found this program to be strikingly similar to the Japanese Fuji TV's 'Runaway' segment in its 'Run for Happiness' program.
