South Korean businesses Prepare Summit Events

South Korean businesses will be holding diverse events in celebration of the summit talks.

Sangdang oriental clinic in Sochogu,Seoul will offer free medical treatment from June 12 to 15. They will perform ultra sound research at no cost to 50 people each day. “Many patients are unaware of the date and details of the summit talks, so we decided to prepare this event,”said a doctor from the clinic.

Kim Yong,a north Korean defector working at Morangak,a famous Pyongyang-type noodle restaurant, will serve free korean-style noodles to people who were forced to leave their hometowns during the Korean war. “It is almost 10 years since I fled North Korea. In celebration of the summit talks, I have prepared a small event,” remarked Kim.

Those with the same name as South Korean president Kim Dae-jung or North Korean leader Kim Jung-il will be eligible to receive free sunglasses valued at $250 from Vidi Korea·Eyedaq(www.eyedaq.co.kr). The offer will be available for the first 50 eligible customers.

Sunwoo Event,a wedding information company,held an event,'Searching for figures similar to president Kim Dae-jung and Kim Jung-il' on June 11. At the event,anyone with the same name or with a similar appearance to the two leaders was selected for a lottery that gave away one free ticket for the Mount Kumkang tour.
