PIFF has also greatly contributed to the promotion of Korean films, which is proven with just a glance at the list of Korean films invited to many international film festivals. This year's launch of the Pusan Promotion Plan (PPP) is expected to help form a new Asian film market by bringing together independent Asian film projects in need of funding with funding sources from the world over.
The venues for the festival are the Academy, Pusan (1, 2, 3), Jeil, Kukdo and Puyoung theaters, and the Pusan Yachting Center Outdoor Theater for outdoor screenings.
Each theater will have 4-5 screenings a day, except the outdoor theater which will have two or three. Each film will have 2-3 screenings during the festival. The Outdoor Theater will present a fantastic viewing experience with a selection of popular films from all over the world.
