Thunder Storms Expected in Southern Part of Peninsula

Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) anticipates big showers with thunder storms in the southern region of the Penninsula from August 16 until August 17. Storm warnings were announced for areas around the sea in the Pusan area. Heavy downpour warnings were announced for the southern Cholla province and Cheju island for August 17. In the southern regions, downpours are predicted to continue until the afternoon of August 18.
Expected amounts of downpours are 20 to 60mm in the southern area except for the northen Kyungsang province where approximately 80mm is expected, an average of 10 to 40mm is expected with a maximum of 60mm in the central areas and 10 to 30mm is expected in North Korea.
