Yumin Foundation to Hold Seminar with Prof. Huntington

Joongang Ilbo and the Yumin Foundation will host a lecture and panel discussion at the Press Center in downtown Seoul from 3 to 5 pm on July 12. Professor Samuel Huntington of Harvard University will deliver a lecture on globalization and culture.
The lecture will mark the 13th anniversary of the death of the founder and former chairman of the newspaper, Hong Jin-ki.
Professor Huntington is the well-known writer whose works include 'The Third Wave: Democratization in the Late Twentieth Century' and 'The Clash of Civilizations and the Remaking of World Order'. He is expected to direct Korea's attention to the horizon of the new millenium.
