[LETTERS TO THE EDITOR] Post office needs some shaping up
Published: 05 Jan. 2003, 23:53
I moved to a new residence a month ago. Since I usually receive a great deal of mail, I had my new address registered at the local post office. I also handed over a change-of-address form to my postman.
The post office said that it would deliver all mail sent to my previous address to my present address if I left my new address with them. I was very grateful. However, I had not received any mail 15 days after I had moved to my new place. I phoned the post office and they soon brought me a huge stack of mail.
But then I received no more mail again. I was so curious that I went to my old house. There I found a bunch of letters on the front porch.
I understand that the post office tries to do their best by providing a new address registration system, but it did not work for me.
