Food, Forests, Sea A Short Hop Away

One look at Ulleungdo, an island off the east coast of the Korean peninsula, is inspiring enough: it looks like a giant forest drifting on the sea. The island is famous for not only its scenic beauty but also for its produce, including ojingeo (squid) and hobakyeot (pumpkin taffy).

A tour around the island can include plenty of super-fresh and delicious seafood dishes and short trips up to rocky peaks inhabited by wild animals. Page 8.
